Christmas morning is here (well, only a day late).
The glow of the tree draws Emily in.
Emily tries out her new Stride to Ride walker.
Mom insisted that everyone wear their pajamas.
Emily pulls a board book from her stocking.
Now if only she knew how to read.
... or how to drive.
Christmas really is the happiest of holidays.
Mommy gets a little help opening a gift.
Maybe there are more presents hidden under the coffee table.

It's finally time to leave the hospital the best Christmas gift ever.
We passed by some of the decorations on the way out.
Children's hospital was all decked out for the holidays.
You could see where kids had eaten parts of the gingerbread house.
When we got home, we opened a few presents that were under the tree.
Emily received a baby doll from her great aunt and uncle.
And this ladybug from her great grandmother.

Emily curls up with Dad and Clifford.
The mylar balloon is the greatest invention ever.
More rest is needed to get well.

Emily and Mommy hang out at Children's Hospital.
You'd hardly know she's sick from her good attitude.
She can't believe it either.
Emily makes some calls from her cell phone.
Then she tries to ensure that the next kid in this room gets RSV, too.
New toys keep accumulating in her bed.
There's not much to do besides watching TV.
Another new animal appears.
Being hospitalized is great!

Emily and Mommy share a pacifier.
With a little help, Emily opens her first ever Christmas gift.
It's just what she wanted!

Emily makes her first visit to Santa Claus.
It's less than a minute though, before the mood turns sour.

While shopping at Carter's, Emily hangs out at the Lego table.
There's all sorts of good stuff to chew on.
And she's big enough to sit in a chair on her own!
Emily checks out Mimi's Christmas decorations.
It's another great opportunity to wreak havoc.
"Who, me? Not this baby!"
Nope, no havoc here just cuteness.
Unable to see the real Santa today, Emily unleashes her agression on a stuffed version.
More lighted pine cones! That's just asking for trouble.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
The lighted pine cones are so alluring.
The temptation is too much to resist.
Christmas in Kansas.
Christmas in Oz.
It's the most wonderful time of the year.
Emily takes a good look at the tree.
Then she does what all babies are apt to do.
Look at the hair on that kid!
It's almost time for bed.

Emily checks out her little Christmas tree.
To her dismay, she can't quite reach it.
But maybe if she stretches really far...
The dark provides an even greater sense of wonder.
Her enthusiasm prompts her to beat the table.
